Oil change @ 5500 mi?

Just a quick question. I seem to remember others getting WAY more milage than 5500 mi. after an oil change.

My RL binged at me yesterday, and informed me it's time for an oil change. Had it done in October. Obviously, miles listed above.

Doesn't seem overly harsh -- after all, I'm was used to every 3k with my other car. Just wondering what you all have seen, milage wise.

Yeah, I know the comp knows. I just found a thread where people are changing @ 5k, usually. Dinging at 7 or so.

Welp, comp knows best. Looks like I have another project to do this weekend

have fun with that, if/when i get a RL i'm goin to be calling you up for my first oil change to give me some speed poitners. Otherwise my first one will probably end up taking me a couple hours from what I've been hearing about that damn supercharger. Eventually i'll speed it up, just would be nice to do it fast from the getgo

My first oil change was free. This'll be my first try.

I'm pretty sure that is exactly what I got last time I changed mine, about 5500 miles. Damn city driving.

And Josh, quit lying. We know you aren't getting a RL. Go buy a base honda civic already, haha.

lmao shhhh, SI.... maybe (nobody heard me say that!!!), bu tI want a damn RL. Yea I know SI is honda and it's slower (Damn stage kits make it a LOT slower ), but to get the LSD/moonroof/better audio/etc/etc on a RL, the ones that have those options the dumbass dealers are still stuck on 16k-17k amounts for a year old one.

That red one I was actually about to buy . The blue one I've decided I don't wanna deal with a car at that price that has been hit in the front and back.
And other than that, lots of new ones enter the market.... and they're asking 18k for ones with 15k miles :-/ mama mia.

I'm down to no leads, maybe one, providing it's a comp package for the price they're asking...
yea that was a lengthy response, oops!
I want a RL with the stage kits mmmmmmm. I'm sorta holding out for the 2007s for Saturn to start issuin their 'incentives' again to drive down prices.

Is the $16-18k range for a NEW one that's a year old or a used one? Either way that's not TOO bad of a deal. I paid $19,600 out the door for a brand new SS with every available option except for G85 (Comp package in RL lingo).

Did you have some form of discount, as you have family connections?

I know when I was shopping last summer, the Chevy dealership (Lebanon Church roaddddd Pittsburgh. Minutes from the mall!) wouldn't BUDGE on their CSS/S/S. $23k...

I just got GMS pricing for everyone, but I made them price match an ad from C Harper (there, if you qualified for everything they were selling the S/C for $14,700). I got mine from Century 3 Chevy. You didn't by chance test drive one in June did you?
