Power source suggestions?

Went out tonight to start running Amishland's harness for the boost gauge. I was completely unable to get anything through the firewall grommet, so I had to go cheesy and come in through the fender and dash side panel. A little ugly, but not too bad. Got the column connectors put together and hooked up. Haven't done the PCM terminals yet - that's tomorrow.

Pulled the center console panel off, ran wiring down to the fuse center and fixed up the Hazard switch connector, no problems.

Now I get down to that damn fuse box and I really don't want to have to deal with trying to disassemble that in that tiny workspace. Hence, my question...

Anyone know of another source for the Ignition1 signal that is easier to get at? I don't care that it is not the stock position, nor do I care if it's inside the car or in the engine bay.

I see it's available on a couple pins of the PCM connectors, but I'm a tiny bit reluctant to splice into one of those.
