Boost Gauge - does this sound right?

Got the boost gauge and tach hooked up today. I took a little different tack doing it, as I did not want to mess with that fuse box. I put in an Add-a-circuit and used power off the Radio Acc circuit, since the wiring diagram indicated that Radio Acc was the source for the pin on the fuse box anyway. That seems to have worked fine, as the gauge gets power.

Now I get to show my utter noob-ness.

Never having had a supercharged car before, I'm unsure if the behavior of the boost gauge is normal. What I am seeing is that it indicates negative boost most of the time in normal driving, usually around -10 to -20. I'm assuming this is showing vacuum.

When I romp on it a bit, the needle shoots up to about +10 and stays there for a short while then settles pretty quickly back to its normal negative range.

Does that sound like it's behaving as it should?

vacuum at idle and part throttle is normal. You should have boost the entire time your foot is to the floor... and it should be pretty close to 12 stock near 6000-6400 rpms, sometimes the weather can affect it a touch...
