This is probably worthless info but...

I noticed something interesting about starting the car. When you turn the key it dose not matter how long you hold the key in the start position the car starts and the starter disengauges. If you just hold the key there in the start spot it starts and starter disengauges, just give the key a little tap on the start position the motor starts and starter shuts off.

Like I said, worthless info but I just thought it was interesting.

Yup, but it only works on the first key turn. If your car isn't starting on the first crank, then it seems to go back to the good 'ol fashioned method. I noticed this when I was having the problem with the cold starting. I think that's a new GM thing. The Trailblazer we rented to go offroading in Colorado did this, (great truck btw, climbed a 13,000 ft mountain, on jeep only trails, with 4 people and all our gear, and never even came close to getting stuck or bogging down), my mother's Buick Rendevous does it, my Redline does it. If I'm not mistaken, they also all prevent the starter from engaging once the car is running, I know the Trailblazer did that (the damn engine ran so smooth I didn't know it was running, thought it was not starting for about 10 min on top of the mountain before my buddy told me to stop freaking out because it already was running).

I was going to post this, but never got around to it. I don't remember it doing this before the update though, but I could be wrong.
