Question Touch up paint for Red RL's...

My dealer gave me a bottle of Saturn P/N 22702376 Code 74 WA 9260 paint that is supposed to match my red '06 RL. It is way too dark. Does anyone have the part number of what I need??? My paint code is WA 9260 but there is something not right with this brush in cap touch up paint they gave me. It is well mixed up also. It does say Victory Red on the label. The dealer said it was right but no way is it right.

Help please...

Mike

Victory Red and Chili Pepper Red have the same code, 9260....could be it was miss labeled.

Thumbs up Update got the right paint...

Today I went into the Moundsview Satty store with my too dark Victory Red touch up paint. The parts guy said they have seen many bottles come in with wrong shades of paint in them and even an empty bottle He tried my paint out on a piece of white paper and then two other bottles labled the same as mine. His two bottles were the correct color so he threw my bottle in the trash He gave me a bottle of the right paint shade no charge Excellent customer support at Saturn.

Interesting. The parts manager at my Saturn shop personally came out and made sure the paint matched the touch-up.

Red face

That would have been best. I got the paint as part of the deal on buying the car. I suppose the sales guy never thought of the paint not matching. That could have been part of the incoming parts inspection in the receiving department to verify it was the proper color. Oh well, seen bad parts come into our shop and get stocked only to have someone later find them being the wrong part or defective. Rush rush...gotta get the job done faster Seems to be the way things happen now a days

Know what you mean bro. I thought I would share something else I found out. Touch up paint has a 1 year life. After a year toss it and get a new bottle. When I had my 04, I got some. I used it a few months ago and it went from artic white to yellow.
