Shouldn't be too hard. Never done them on the RL, but on most other cars its no harder than springs.

unbolt wheel, unbolt axle nut, unbolt ball joint from steering knuckle, seperate outter axle shaft from knuckle, pull axle out.

very simple and basically the same on most every car.

you need to make sure you have a socket to take off the nut holding the axle into the knuckle.. it is a 32 or 34 or summtin big like that... once you lossen that nut take a hammer to it and make it so it un-seats itself from the spline.. next go to the axle where it goes into the tranny (drivers side only) and take a pry bar and pry the axle out.. once it comes out you should be all set to put in the new ones.. for the passanger side it's a little harder.. you have to remove the bracket holding the axle up and then it's basicly the same thing.. pry out the axle from ther tranny and swap... after that it's basicly rewind

Not that simple. Once you get the knuckle and everything loose, you hafta use a rubber or wood mallet to beat it out of the knuckle. Sometimes the axle won't come out of the trannie because of the retaining clip in the spline. You may hafta tap it out ant the inner halfshaft joint with a prybar and a mallet.
