Dyno?

Hey there, i got an 05rl and i got the gm stage 2 kit on it now, me and acouple of guys are going to get our cars dynoed, i got the 3inch pulley on it now and im wondering if i put the 2.7inch pulley on it for the dyno will it help that much and will it cause damage to my engine. I realize that my blower will be at like 15,000 and sum RPMS for a bit longer as oposed to driving on the road. Has anyone done this yet and if so, what kinda numbers did you pull out?

Don't hold me to this, but I think that with the 2.7" you might run it a little lean. 2.8" should be okay.

I think a 2.7 SHOULD be ok. Don't get me wrong though, I have no technical backing to this what-so-ever. Just that I'm running a stock tune with a 2.8 and I don't SEEM to be having any adverse effects thus far. Only time will tell though. I mean, if they're going to do an A/F with the dyno then there's no harm in trying.

Dyno with the 3 and the 2.7 and see just how much of a difference it makes. Also the dyno is the perfect time to go ahead and see for yourself...not what others say on the forums...if with the 2.7 you will be in a safe a/f range.

But to answer your question, one or two pulls on a dyno with a 2.7 will not hurt the motor...ESPECIALLY having stage 2.

My 2.8" Stage 2 pull is listed below... the blower is fine with a 2.7" on there... The GenV Eaton is good to 16k CONTINUOUS RPMS...

There's a breakdown or something somewhere that tells us which pulley spins the blower at what speed, right?
