Is our intercooler cores located in the IC or the intake manifold?

Just what the title asks...trying to find which part I would need to buy so I can get new cores IF the dealership doesn't fix it or under warranty at that.

Our intercooler cores (we have 4 of them) sit inside the intake manifold. It is one big casting with 4 laminova cores that slide out the driver side of the manifold.

Why do you think your cores are bad?

Thanks.

Oh and they're bad because my coolant keeps "disappearing" and even the dealership confirmed no leaks externally so I asked them to put in the trace dye...oh and see my signature about the temp...

You should stop by Spencer Gifts and pick up a small blacklight, so you can check on your own (assuming they used a UV dye.)

If they are leaking inside the manifold you won't be able to see the leaks without removing them. Like on mine. Looked finr from the outside until you pulled it. Then is was a pretty orange color.

BTW, you never know with junkyard parts. The cores could be worse than the ones you have now. The manifold may not be flush, etc...
