Brand new to Redline

Hello everyone, last sunday i just came home with my 04 Ion redline.
I ant tell you how happy i am with it, im coming outof a 95 pontiac firebird, sadly with the 3.4 so this is a ginormous upgrade for me.
i bought the car with an extended 3 year warranty which i added, just in time too it seems, a driver side door panel right next to the "3rd door" just happpened to fall off while i was in the car wash. So while im at the dealership trying to get it taken care of (hoping warranty covers it) is there anything else i should be aware of before i take my car in. Recalls i should be aware of for the 04 models....i also read alot of re-flashes, i assume your talking about ecm reflash, how does that work. sorry if i sound nooby-ish, new to redlines, new to forums, new to any kind of forums actually, lol
so please be easy on me and any FAQs would be great, thanks to all

Howdy!

That's awesome, new-ish car, panel pops off... welcome to the family! Hehe... The only really prevalent issue across most of the '04-'05s, is the reversed intercooler wiring, other than that I cant think of any...

I had a 3.1 Camaro a few years back... it's quite a step up. I still have the Camaro actually.

That's the general speech I was going to give you. That's the first thing I checked when I bought my car even though I have an 06. If I think of anything else, I will be sure to let you know.

Shift knobs, ignition switches, BCMs, cam position sensor seals, a pathetic tune...

Welcome to the Brotherhood of the First Model Year.

Get a short throw, but they can fix it, they use a set screw to hold it on, forgot about the knobs...

Flashes could mean fixes from GM or the stage kits, or HP Tuners...

Welcome to the '04 models.

Ummm, just curious, what color did you get, and how many miles on the car?

The color is metallic blue, i bought the car with 54k on the clock, which is why i also picked up an extended warranty =) Is there anything else i should be aware of besides falling off pieces?
What about modding paths, cant be too wild because of the warranty but what all should pass, i want to drop on an intake kit on it would my warranty void because of it?
