Snow tires?

So i know my 06 RL comes with dunlop 9000's summer tires, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with these tires in the snow? Do they work well or would recommend getting a set of rims and snow tires.

They suck in the snow. I did one winter in them and the Next I had Nokian WRs (All-season with a Snow and Ice rating) and it handled it amazingly well.

Nice, Good to see more Ohio people. I'm buying HP Tuners next month so we'll be sure to have a meet and get some tunes for people.

I just got my car a week ago, and I'm planning ahead for winter (buy in the summer before prices jump up...lol)

I just bought some used (95% tread left) winter tires for $170 locally & then a set of 17" take off wheels for $280 SHIPPED

You can get a set of BRAND NEW 16" winter tires with steel rims & hardware (lugnuts) & mounted/balanced already for about $550-600 SHIPPED from TireRack.com.....I priced it out obviously

And someone on here "Vita" was selling some 16" winter wheels/tires (package) for $470 SHIPPED:

FS: Winter Wheels and Tires

Just saying that $900 on winter wheels/tires is a little high!

I can say from experience that these tires SUCK ASS in the winter. I ended up sliding into a curb last winter. No damage tothe body, but ended up bending a control arm. After that I decided to get some Bridgestone Blizzaks. They work better, but still a little slick at times.

That was the first thing I noticed on the car after I test drove it....the tires were "summer peformance" tires & I was gonna need to invest in winter tires for winter
