delete cat?

what's up all?

well I'm finally gna do stuff to my car. I'm gna get an intense stage 3/4 not sure which yet. probably a header as well.

well of course I'm gna need to get tuned for all this. my friend is trying to convince me to delete the my cat when I get tuned and just take it out. I really don't want it to sound like butt tho. but he swears that its gna sound good cause its a force inducted car. I have a borla exhaust on there right now.

what do u guys think. should I keep the cat or should I go without it? if I decide to go without it I won't have problems with emissions or nothing like that. so that's not a factor at all.

u've read about the intense tunes blowing shit up right? just making sure....

as far as cat goes i went 2.5" all the way back (resonator delete) w/ a magnaflow muffler and it's a good volume and pitch... w/o a cat i think it might be bordering on too loud. for me anyway

After I dynoed last week, and comparing the dyno to the guy who tuned me (who's ran 270whp), I realize my cat's sapping about 10 whp. Gonna gut mine. I like how my car sounds now, but I'd like more power, too haha.

As to tuning, you might be better off finding someone with HP Tuners, then going w/ 2.6 - 2.8 pulley, 42 or 60 lb injectors...

oops I guess I should have explained more. wasn't thinking when I posted lol.

when I say I'm gna get the intense stage 3/4 I meant I was gna buy the pieces individually, not the actual package. I don't want their pcm. I will indeed go to a dyno place and get it tuned with hp tuners. no way a "generic" intense tune is going on my car.

now with that said I was probably gonna get a 2.8 pulley...wanted a 2.6 or a 2.x but I dnt wanna buy a new snout. since the 2.8 pulley fits on the stock snouth ill just stick to that for now. then I was gna get the 60# injectors and spark plugs and all that good stuff.

right now I'm running a full 2.5 in exhaust. I got a shup to cut off that 2.15 part.

Catless LSJs sound like ass, IMO. The last one I heard sounded like someone shoved a pissed off cricket in the exhaust and gave it a megaphone.

I'd recommend listening to one before doing it.
