Mine doesn't like to sit in 2nd gear at all. When turning a 90 degree corner I often put it in second with the clutch engaged and when I'm out of the corner I let out the clutch to take off and its popped back into neutral. I also occasionally get a grind...sounds like the bad synchros on my old car...and then it goes into gear. Its not the lack of ability of driving stick, there is something up with 2nd gear. This been a problem for anyone else?

You should try adjusting your shifter cables.

To the original poster, have they given you details on your buyback? Mine was bought back as a lemon also, but, saturn wantd $6400 from me in "usage". Turns out that my state allows manufactureers to charge a usage fee on lemon cars. the cheapest way out for me was to take a new '06 RedLine and still had to pay $1500 usage fee!!!

But this car will also be gone soon, and I am one of those that will never e in a Saturn again. I think a lot was the way I was treated. After 14 times in the shop, 8 for the same reason, and a GM field engineer lookin at the car, I was told it was "normal" for my car to stutter, blow smoke and raw gas out the exhaust on cold motor starts. The only reason they finally did anything was I talked to Jill Lajdziak personally and the next day, they started agreeing that there was a problem.

Oh, and just to throw this in, I have been looking at other vehicles and one of the dealers I was at called my local Saturn, and asked what they thought the car was worth. My dealers response? "We know the car you have and we would not give $10,000 for it." Nice huh? Way to stand behind your product ther GM...

$6,500 in usage fees?! That's retarded. I haven't had the chance to talk to the lady that deals with the details of the buyback because I'm waiting to finish the fax papers here and there process. I'll find out this week. To quite honest, I guess I really don't care what they charge me as long as they pay off my loan. How long did you own the car? I've had mine for nearly 2 years, so I should probably expect to have big usage charges aswell. How long do the whole process take from start to finish? I need to know so I know how fast I need to find a replacement car.

I traded my little tart in as well. Damn Check Engine light wouldn't go away.......Dealer finally printed something out for me (how nice) stating that they can't fix the check Engine light while there was a CAI kit on the car. Funny thing is that the check engine light was on before I installed the CAI........Also, funny how everyone seems to be making the same upgrade...........

Funny thing is, for the same price as my RL I could have gotten an '05 GTO with 26K on it. That's a shit load of horses and torque for the cash, but I have this thing about used vehicles...It's called my first 4 cars.

I'm paying $155 more a month, but its for 1 year less, insurance went up $8.00 a month, but then went down $8.00 a month since I signed up for automatic bank draft. MPG is going to be about 18-22 for me as opposed to 23-25, gas prices have gone below the $3.00 range around here for premium. Best part about the whole thing, I'm driving with the Corvette engine and transmission but twice the seating capacity.......
