it's highly likely, also MUCH easier to return to stock if you're scared they'll mess with you on warranty issues. mines already out, no warranty issues, so it stays out

Wait a minute, isn't the stock airbox pretty much sealed? We're talking about the 'can' that the original air filter drops into right? Other than the top of it, I though it was sealed on all sides except where that little hose leads out of it..

Air box is gone......Look at the instructions again, They reove the top through the engine compartment, and the bottom when you drop the plastic valence from under the air dam

The top is gone, but I believe the box stays and they're just passing through it. Otherwise, they would surely have some instructions about how to get that bitch out, 'cuz it aint easy

I know that everyone is looking at this for performance but even if the performance increase is little the powder coated blue pipe will look SWEET. Plus I love the sound the SC makes when you open up the air. When I added the K&N to my GTP the sound was great.

all i know is that i gained something like 11hp with the airbox removed and a K&N filter, so this properly designed system should net somewhere over that, i would hope!

It might not be worth more, I would hope so, but it might just be a nice clean way of doing the same thing... 11hp is what AEM's short ram is claiming, so maybe a couple more over that. If I remember the rumor it went from 20hp to 17hp, to 13(?)hp.
