cold air intake on a supercharged car? that makes complete sense, tool. considering the s/c compresses it into hot air anyways.

It does make a difference, but not much, because the stock intake is really cold air already. We don't gain a whole hell of alot from intakes, we mainly like 'em 'cause they make the S/C more audible. However, the "compressed hot air" is cooled down by the intercooler. The colder the air that goes in, it will be that much cooler through the throttle body, and into the motor = more power of course.

agreed

i was just stating the fact that a cold air intake would render nothing since the air is heated up anyways. a short ram makes more sense on s/c's .....the more air they can get the better since its going to be heated like crazy and then colled by the intercooler

That's the downside of running smaller pulleys too. It spins the S/C faster and generates more heat. To remedy this we use a bigger heat exchanger (like a stock unit off a cobra)

What does 16.4psi have anything to do with a stock vs stock? Seriously.

I saw a stock '06 SI vs. a stock jetta 1.8t from a dig last night. The jetta had him up until 100mph.
