Need Quick Help! Snout Thread

Ok, the tapped hole in the end of the snout.. WTF thread is it? I borrowed the snout machining tool from a friend, but he lost the bolt for the end. I though it was an M7-18, but apearently not. At this point it is looking lik I am going to have to re-tap the end, but I rather try the correct thread first!!

any help? I cant find it ANYWHERE on here! ThANKS

You need an M8 bolt with a 1.25 pitch

No problem, my thread was screwed up in the inside of the snout so I had to do a lot of hunting and I just needed to get the front part of it cleaned up and the bolt went in easily. For some reason a couple people it seems had to clean up the thread but that is the right size. If you got the tool from ZZP it should come with the correct bolt size.

HOLY SHIT!!

Joe, I am thinknig it will be less hassel just to file yours down in the high spots. this snout machine tool has taken me ALLL FREAKING DAY!! I wish I was kidding. Granted the bit is a bit dull (I am the 3rd or 4th user of it). Filing DEFINTLY took less time, and less stress!! Plus, yours might be a little mor concentric than mine, maybe not need anything.

That and my blades look a bit worn. Granted it is the ONLY sc I have ever seen taken off, so maybe it is normal wear, but I won't know that till we tear yours off.

ha ha ha, I spent DAYS using that tool, over 24 hours, 15 minutes like the video says my ass! I had to charge the battery on an electric drill 4 times to get the freaking thing completed!
