review on the 07 Redlines

ok well i've driven 4 in the last 2 days, 2 were non-comp, 2 were comp packages and besides the seats their is a definate difference

first off the car seems to shift smoother which might mean a change in the torque manegment stock... plus the car seems to pull a lot smoother as well... the car doesn't feel faster but is noticable smoother

next up is the fan on 100% trick.. i tried to do this to an 07 and it worked i took the keys out of the ignition... to do it i had to keep the key on the ON postion and once the car is turned off it turns off as well unlike my 06 where it will continue to stay on till the connecter is pluged back in.. GM must of changed some of the protocalls for that one

the engine bay looks the same and their is no real changes their.. as well as the interior.. nothing really different form the 06's aside from the seats which completely suck compared to our recaros.. i'm not just saying that b/c recaro's are cool... i'm saying it cause the bolstering on the seats now can even hold a guy in his seat if he's covered in car.. the full leather seat was a bad idea...

next is handeling... it's the same.. that is all

the extiror is the same as well with the only difference being the wheels... the comps keep the same gunmetal rims with lip and the non comps have a painted grey rim... not the polished rim like before... it looks dumb on the car and unless you play on having the rims powder coated i suggest you buy new rims asap after getting a non comp package

overall the car feels kinda halfassed by GM... besides the 100k mile warranty the car really isn't anything great

Do a lot of the parts still have SAAB stamped on them?

BTW...does the powdercoat look really look bad? If when I upgrade the rotors and brake pads there is still lots of dust, I think I might powdercoat the rims because I get tired of two days after washing the car my wheels look like crap...if it looks bad I won't though.

you think the 04-06 recaros would just drop right in an 07 or did they totally change the setup?

Well you have to remember about those sensors in there now...that is why the Recaros were removed from the lineup anyways. Don't know if that would cause problems, especially with safety because you can have a passanger if you do that and get in a bad accident and their air bag won't go off.
