STICKY?? Redline Products Available!

Hey, I wanted to make a thread concerning all the products on the market that are available to fit redlines as of yet. I know I've been searching and searching different message boards and saturn specialist websites and haven't found too much thats specified to the redlines.

Sooo, i figured id begin a list of as many products i know of thatll fit the redlines from the various dealers.

I don't mean to take on any moderator duties or anything, but i think the best idea would be to create the full list at the beginning of the topic and have anybody add stuff to it that they want.

Just an idea. So here goes my list as of yet, or at least the stuff i can think of at this point.

Dash Kits....... www.saturnmotorsports.com

K&N Air Filter.... www.spswebpage.com

Lowering Springs (Sprint is best so ive heard)..... www.saturnmotorsports.com

Strut Tower Bar........ www.spswebpage.com

Headers......heard that gude makes them, but haven't seen any real evidence yet.

Carbon Fiber Hood...... www.saturnmotorsports.com

.......thats all i can think of at the moment, im really tired. I know there's a few more out there, but some haven't been proven to my eyes yet so i dont wanna list too many.

If anybody has any more, please post them!!

just want to note that the lowering springs will require modification to work with the RL, it has a different suspension than the regular ion (eibach is better quality)

i'm pretty sure the rear anti-roll bar might work, but being a diff. suspension it may not

also, wait for any specific redline headers to become available, they should be fatter and hopefully lead to a 3" outlet!

on either the saturnfans or saturnmotorsports sites i know they said the sprint springs worked perfectly on the redline....and the B&G or whatever they're called worked as well.....but i heard the eibachs took some modification.

as far as struts are concerned, i have no clue whether they used stock or aftermarket.

interesting...

i'm not spending any $$$ modifying my car though until i can afford a bigger blower well maybe fabricate an intake, and get an exhaust done, but that'll be more towards spring, i see no point in making my car faster for the winter.

The biggest thing I would desire as an add on is a Limited Slip Differential (Quaife?). The ION Redline has too much torque, and bounces around without one. I've never done any serious mods to a car before. Does anyone know what kind of undertaking this would be?

would be better left to a transmission guy, but i could be wrong, i'd rather do it myself.

you could look for a how-to on a different FWD car, and i'm sure it would be similar

If quaife actually made the lsd available for our tranny, then it shouldn't be too hard. Pretty much you'd need to drop the tranny, open her up, pull out the old differential and put in the quaife, blah, blah, blah... That's pretty much all to it if it is a direct fit. The one that is currently in a RL, I have the feeling was some how custom fitted. But I'm still trying to find out for sure.

Thanks guys. I wouldn't try it myself, but would love to have it done. I'm pretty sure Quaife does not offer a LSD for the RL currently, but if/when it becomes available, I will be all over it.
