Saturn Tech Please Read!! Anyone help me

OK I hate Saturn Of Augusta DONT GO THERE EVER

ok so i make an appt to get the recal done today at 4 and i get there at 345 and they do what they do an than like 1hr later the guys comes up to me and is like well we can not do the recal today because u have aftermarket parts that will take to long to take off. BS i have barrys intake mod, a airfuel gauge and a boost gauge that is all i can think of in the engine area and basically anything that would affect this recal. Now i dont know what is all done but will one of the saturn techs please explain this for me

he told me to leave the car there for the night and all day tomorrow and they could fit it in, so im like ok ill take a loaner and do that so i ask for the loaner and he is like we can not do that because the reason your car is taking longer is because of the aftermarket parts, i am about sick of this shit and i do not think i will be taking my car back to this dam dealership.

someone help me out on this does the boost gauge or the airfuel even involved in the recal. I know that the air filter might need to be taken off but its eaiser to take mine off than the factory one. Sorry i am just PISSED off.

The loaner thing is always a little touchy, if you read the warranty stuff, they actually state that they don't have to give you one at all.

As far as the aftermarket parts go, I can't see how any of the gauges would mean crap. I have the TSB for the Cam Sensor at home, and there's nothing that should be bothered, that I read, by what you have installed. They have to take off alot more stuff than you put in there as it is.

No, depending on where you ran the lines, and if this is for the recall for the CPS and gasket.

If so, I am sure you did not run the lines for the EGT (a/f or whatever) over the CPS and as far as boost, I also know you did not run it over the sensor, and the intake doesn't have anything to do with it. Basically your dealership is full of shit. Ask them for the specific reason and what specific part caused them not to be able to do the said recall. If they dick you aound call corperate, seriously, I am fed up with some of the horror stories with the dealerships giving people shit for no reason. I bet they just wanted to go home or fuck around with a "paying customer".
At least when you call the big cheeze, somthing happens (usually)

Sorry to hear that man. I'm not a tech, I dont work at Saturn, and I know very little about dealerships. But I do know that if you have any type of modication. They can jack you..

My gf's friend has a 03 eclipse gts v6, he had a CEL and a short ram intake. He brought it to the dealer thinking they wouldnt trip. They told him it's the intake, charged him $200 dollar DIAGNOSTIC. He brought it to another shop they told him it was his spark plugs and cyclinder 2,3 were not firing correctly because of the faulty plugs, replaced them with iridiums and BAM his car is fixed. He never pursued a refund, he is too lazy.

Another story, I know someone who owns a body shop. He bought a GMC Denali truck. He lowered it and got new shocks. His PS starting leaking, car had 1000 miles on it. The dealership manager refused to cover it because of the lowering of the car. Even though they have nothing to do with each other. He had to call GM's district manager and the manager repaired the situation and fixed the guy's leaking PS.

Moral of the stories, dealers are the devil if you have any modifications.

When saturn did mine they took loose a lot of parts and shifted the engine so they could get to the sensor. The tech that did mine did it by the book and it was right the first time.So just maybe you had something in the way.

Just get the area manager's number and call them. Tell them what happened. If they are on YOUR side, then call back and ask to talk to the mechanic and tell him about your conversation with his area manager.

No sense trying to talk to the service dept. there again. It's obvious that they are not willing to help you.

This is a RECALL. It's not an "If they feel like doing it or not" deal.

im a tech here near philly, and theres no reason they should'nt be able to do the recall. It actually only took me 1.3 hours or so to do one the first time, and the second one took me 45 mins. Any wires run in the way should not be of any concern.
It's not that you arent a paying customer, they get paid on recalls too, gm pays for it. I cant actually think of any reason for it. When i did the first one, the hardest part was rotating the crank to TDC, the rest of it was just taking apart the fuse box/ecu area.
The first thing I would do is call and ask to talk with the service manager. if he cant help you, ask who his manager is. just keep workin your way up and i guarentee someone will eventually help you. Theres no reason for taking that long.
