How long has it been since you asked for a refund?

I began asking for a refund the middle of last week. Then, on Monday, I get his email w/ pics saying if we still want it, he'll ship it to us. I told him to go ahead and ship it to me. Since I had neither heard from him OR got a tracking # by yesterday I'm writing this off as another bullshit story.

This has really got me pissed but I can't imagine how the guys who have sent him $2K+ for his S/C kits and not recieved anything in 6 months feel.

If I don't hear from him by Monday, I will start looking into legal action.

Wow, this is brutal.

I honestly don't think his intent from the get go was to screw everyone.

But this should serve as a real good example for people of how NOT to run a business. Even giving him the benefit of the doubt, and assuming the production problems were beyond his control, the lack of communication and his constant "I'll ship them tomorrow" promises are going to pretty much ruin this guy's reputation.

I personally really want one of these headers. But even if he does start shipping them, I'll probably just wait for someone else to make one to avoid the headache of dealing with this guy.

I don't think his intitial intent was to screw everyone either but somehow, it seems, that is exactly what has happened.

I paid him in Nov. a total of $373.99 for this header and it is now the middle of April and I have nothing to show for it. There cannot be any excuse that is acceptable as to why these things are not done and on our cars already.

If he was having that much trouble with the manufacturer he chose, he should have done somehting about it long ago. In his email he says,

" Id really like to disclose the name of the company
responsible for the multiple delays and this (what they are calling)
final product, but I'm bound by a confidentially agreement and they
would just deny it anyhow. "

I think if we knew how to get in touch with this "company" he is using we'd find out the fucking story here.

Who goes into a deal like this with a "confidentiallity agreement"??? Why would you even consider or feel that you need one?

I need a shovel quick because the bullshit is about to cut off my oxygen.

Exactly. I never got the sense any of this was malicious, ie he never set out to screw anyone (and probably still doesn't want to screw anyone). He just seems to have absolutely piss-poor business judgement, and seems to be an excuse-maker rather than just fessing up to what's going on. Either way, probably won't be buying from this guy.

This goes WAAAAAAAAYYYYY beyond just "poor business judgement".

He is basicaly ignoring phone calls and emails at this point. He NEVER updated us unless some actually was lucky enough to get a hold of him.

The path around the bush has been beaten to death and I think he is just hiding behind the bush now. I'll be damned if I'm just gonna say, "Oh well, live and learn". I'll be trying everything in my power and at my disposal to get my money back.

I assume you used PayPal? Start there. File a complaint with them saying you never got your goods. Then file a complaint with whatever credit card company you have linked to your PayPal account.

If I've learned anything, it's that PayPal and financial type institutions get WAY swifter justice than anything you could get on your own. Have a couple credit card companies up his ass for fraudulent charges will make his life a living nightmare almost overnight.

That was my first plan of action.

Bad news on the paypal complaint.

It states in the Resolution section that "Claims must be filed within 45 days of the PayPal payment "

It has been more than 45 days (paid for this in November). Does anyone know if paypal will be any help in this matter given the length of time since payment was made????
