Theres not really anything special about GM's filter, but people seem to like it. And dislike Fram, as you can see.
Nothing really special just much better built... Take the GM filter and the Fram filter and cut them in half.. The difference in quality of the filter medium is so apparent.

Oh remember in case you do not already know our cars should only use high octane. In damn California the highest I can get is 91 octane but oh well. So use the highest available in your area and only quality fuel NO ARCO!! Congrats on your purchase buddy.

ya, I saw that in the owners manual. It said you would get the best performance from 91 or higher, but 87 or higher is ok.

And I've never even heard of ARCO around here. We have BP, Holland oil, Marathon, shell, Sheetz, sunoco, speedway, and Pilot mostly. Not sure who actually makes the gas for sheetz, pilot, and speedway.

Its true the manual does say that but use premium trust me. Every car that is force inducted should automatically use premium. I know some people that bitch about that and I always think why the hell did they buy that car if they couldnt afford the high octane..

What year do you have where the manual says 6.75? Mine says 6 quarts, and that usually tops it with 30 minutes of draining. Use the AC Delco filters, only $5.
