2007 Redline, please help

I was Driving My Redline and as i got off the hwy i downshifted and came to a stop at the top of the ramp. Suddenly my car died and it wouldnt start again. It was shaking like crazy and the tranny light is on now. Atfer about 45 minutes it finally started and i drove it home with the light on. 1 hour later i went outside and started it again and the light was gone. Does anyone know why this happened just out of curiousty

Yeah... hmm sounds like you went into limp mode... Did you hit rev limiter a lot on the highway?

Tranny light? Thas a new one, I did not know that we had a Check Tranny light..

I take it you mean Reduced Power Mode better known as Limp or Lame mode. Get a OBDII scanner and let use know what the codes were..

The CEL with the arroe pointing downward is the reduced power/limp mode indicator.

It Was the tranny light. So if i hit the rev limiter a few times this is normal to happen?

Maybe you downshifted into too high an RPM hitting the rev limiter too hard?

Nope. I hit the limiter all the time. Call Saturn.
