Looks like it would be easy enough to do.

Note: The Eaton engineers gave a strong caution about removing the snout from the main body. The entire snout is filled with a very specific type of synthetic supercharger oil. It also contains a very specific amount of this oil. If either of these are not done correctly, the supercharger could overheat and cause a fire. It gets hot!

Cool - perhaps an easier way would be to prep the SC on the car and just removed what I need to and mask the rest....and shoot it on the car.

you know, i bet i replaced one of those SC's. We had a redline last fall with a siezed blower. replaced it and peeked inside the old one, tons of scuffing and stuff from some sort of debris inside the SC.

Could be. The one in the pictures was the only one that was seized. The others were replaced by dealerships because the customer complained about a noise. That's what the Eaton engineers came to investigate. They claim there is no noise. Who knows? I thought they were supposed to make noise. I like it!

Would powder coat or paint cause the supercharger to not disipate the heat as fast?
