do i need a tune?

im getting ready to pick up a k&n intake, sms header pkg. or weapon r race headers (cant make up my mind between the two any info would help) and some kind of exhaust, any help here would be great too lol. well if i get these 3 things do i need a tune of some sort or will my car be ok. ty in advance.

car will be fine, but might throw a code.

Of course it would be better with a tune either way

Im thinking you will be ok. I can't really see why not all your doing is improving what's already there nothing to durastic. my 2 cents.

there's usually always somekind of gain or improvements to be had when you tune a new mod in. just a question, what's you're reasoning for going w/ intake and basically a new header & back exhaust? They will def net you a few hp, but for the price of that new header, d/p, exhaust. You can scoop up either Stage1 w/ aftrmrkt pulley(or just Stage2 for warranty reasons) or better yet pulley, aftrmrkt injectors, and try to hook up with someone who has hptuners. You'll definitely see better gains for less money.

stage2 well come next. call it backwards if you like lol. i wana give it more time ( hpt that is ). to better understand it tunning and so fort. or mayb i should just jump on spooners back lol

You need a wideband O2 sensor, and a tune...

It's time to start pushing O2 sensors and tunes, lest we blow up like the shortbus.net folks...

I'm of the opinion that EVERY modified Redline needs a custom tune. Not just a copy/paste of someone else's.
