smaller pulley & bigger sound sys.= trouble

how does that work?

my friend was telling me that with a smaller pulley its gonna affect a bigger sound sys. i think he was talking about amps (car not sound sys).

wont' effect your system if you don't change the size of your alternator pulley, some underdrive pulley systems will change the alt. pulley thus reducing the amperage. but just changing the supercharger pulley won't do that.

He's thinking of a smaller crank pully. (underdrive) We dont mess with those.

although i have seen a lightened crank pulley advertised for the cobalt SS, anyone interested?

Yeah, the crank pulley you would actually want to make bigger to increase the speed of the belt, thus increasing the alternator AND supercharger output. But you probably don't need to worry, I have tested the stock 140 amp ND alternator, and it does pretty well up to around 2000 watts.
