What is involved in replacing Valve Cover?

I'm getting a polished BlilBT Valve cover in a week or two. What is involved in replacing the old one with the new one (step by step?)?

Also, would this be a good time to upgrade from the 3.0 to the 2.8 pulley with the one step colder plugs?

he didn't tell me that. He did say that it was very easy. But then again, easy for some, isn't easy for everyone.

I can probably handle it if I know what to do. Beats spending $140.00 at the GMPP dealer.

If I need screws anyone know which ones they are? BlilBT and someone else got theres from Pep Boys, but didn't have any other info.

Ok, according to GM, there is nothing to it.

Remove your coil packs
Remove your plugs (one document says they need to come off, another says you don't need to)
Remove your PCV hose
Remove the two bolts that hold the hard PCV line to the back of the engine (header heat shield)
Remove the supercharged rail, if you have it,
Remove the ground strap? I have to look at this, there is no pic, and I don't remember it.
Disconnect the fuel feed pipe from the fuel rail. (make sure you bleed out the extra gas pressure)

Install is the opposite, hand start all bolts, tighten the cover bolts to 8N (71 lb/in's)

valve cover screws should be reusable, i think sheek is thinking of the ones on the head which are torque to yield and are not reusable

They are, unless they are damaged, obviously...

NR, what are your thoughts on torquing them to 90 or so in lbs, to keep them from leaking again?
