Talking RL Starter Switch

This is just a question to see how many people know the cool feature that I finally figured out about 1 month ago.

When you start your car do you hold the key in the start position until the engine is running or do you just flip it to start and let it go?

Seems like a silly questions but I'm just wondering how many people have figured this out by now.

Every once in a while it dosen't work right, this morning for instance. I tapped it, let it go, and the starter stopped. 95% of the time it works good though...

Hmmm... Mine doesn't do that. Is this a feature of one of the new PCM updates? Sounds cool, though.

More than one person has said that theirs does not do it either, perhaps it was some sort of mid-model addition?

This happened to me the other day. I tapped it over expecting it to finish the job, and it just sat there without fully starting up.

My RL is one of the first batches that went out to the dealers. The RL that I purchased was actually the first RL that my dealer received. You can sort of tell because practically all of the dealers in the first round got the first few with (((XM))) and a sunroof already installed.
