3 inch pulley

I will be getting a 3 inch pulley pretty soon. I was wondering if it is safe to do the boost bypass mod? In the long run sense. I have heard that it causes the motor to run lean, would I need to get colder plugs to run the pulley correctly?

Matt

Yes, colder plugs. Don't leave the boost bypass on all the time and you're fine.

Any mods that increase power, or get the s/c spinning faster, aren't good in the long run. It's just whether or not you care lol

How much colder, one step? Will I need to do this as soon as I install, or when I use the boost bypass?

I would only go one step with a 3.0.... And I ran the boost bypass all the time with a 3 inch for probably 25,000 miles (before I switched over to the 2.6). It only matters from 6k rpms to redline.

Make sure you only get 93 octane once you have that on.
