Arrow ION Redline Production?

Hey guy, I am in the market for a new car. I currently own a 94' Taurus S-H-O. Anyways I have my 2 choice narrowed down between a Redline and an SRT-4. I cant decide which one I want though. I found out they are stopping production of the SRT4 in Sept. of this year to make a new platform(they are ditching the neon). My question is, how long is Saturn gonna produce the Redline? Have there been any talks of stopping production yet? Any info you guys could give me on the car would be great

just came out, they probobly won't stop production until the ion isn't in production, as long as sales keep up, but considering nobody knows about them, well few do, sales should pick up, considering word of mouth seems to be spreading VERY fast

I'd say go buck wild & get the Redline. The SRT is faster but less refined, and the Ion probably wouldn't attract as much police attention. My buddy had an 89 SHO (he's in the army) and he's coming home tonight, it'll be his first time seeing my Redline.

i was in the same decison anout two weeks ago. after testing both and checking into insurance and finacing on bot trust me the redline was the way to go. the srt is much more to insure. also the redline is so much more civilized inside and out. much smoother handles better not such a harsh ride and everthing that can be done with a srt has been so many people have them and are making huge numbers with them. the redline or at least ion will be around for a while and the 2.0 ecotec will probably be around even longer knowing gm. so give it time there will be no lack of parts soon. we are working on a turbo conversion now. psi-fi is working on twincharing it. i just got word there will be another company offering a turbo setup for it. stuff is coming. buy it enjoy it stock for a little the go nuts. but really go drive both you will see what i mean. the srt is slightly faster but after driving them you will understand

The ION will be produced at least through the 2006 model year in it's current form. Then production of Saturn cars is supposed to move out of Spring Hill. No more plastic panels.

It all depends on what's important to you. I think zfactor put it pretty well there, covered all the important points.

I think you will get biased opinion here, have you tried the same post in the SRT forum and see what they say?

2006 is the last ION, so I would assume Proiduction ends in 06

I like mine. I would get it quick, if I were you. You won't regret it.

Um..no. They will be built in 07, except they will be steel instead of polymer. I'm not sure, but I thought I heard 08 is the end of the ion.
