Sooo... 225/45ZR17's or 245/45ZR17's?

I'm at a crossroads. I want to try the 245's to see how they make the car handle but i'm pretty scared to buy them and then have them rub. Before anyone says it. I spoke to a rep and they said that 245/45ZR17's will fit our 7 inch rim.

Comments?

They will fit but they will rub. I pretty sure I read on the forums somewhere that the widest you can go is 235/45/17.

You can go 235/45/17, and you might get a little rub when you are cornering HARD, and definatly when cornering hard lowered. I get a slight amount of rubbing with mine, but I gotta be on it hard and hit a bump in a corner or sumthin. I'd stick w/ 225/45/17's to keep a decently stiff sidewall. My 235's are on 1/2" wider wheels than stock.

I have 235/40/17's and I have no issues at all. Still stock height though.
