"Service Vehicle" Message

I was doing about 60 today on the highway and the security light came on (you know, the one that has the car with a lock next to it) and then on the message center it kept repeating "Service Vehicle." Anybody know why?

u need to replace ur starter switch. that happen to me and it died while i was driving it sucked.

It could be a passlock sensor as well. Have you ever had trouble starting the car, like when you turn the key nothing happens? Passlock would be my guess.

that has to do whith that switch. just take it in they will replace and it will start all bad ass after that

I just had mine in last week for the same problem. There is some sensor on the ignition switch that they will replace. Only took them 45 minutes to do mine. Mine never died when it came on and it will probably go off when you turn the car off and restart it. Mine would come on randomly but I would just turn it off and restart it and it would be gone.

No, the only problem I've ever had starting is the camshaft sensor issue. I just went and started it and it started fine, I drove it around and the message and light never came back on, so hopefully everything's ok.
