You can use a kit. I just do it the old fashioned way. Have someone pump the brake and bleed each caliper till the fluid runs clear. I have replaced my brake fluid 4 times. Having someone pump the brakes has been the easiest. I am sure someone will disagree with me, but my brakes have always been 100%.

Talking

yup!.the fluid does not last too long in our cars because the fluid is shared with brakes/clutch.i went with synthetic valvoline fluid and have been very happy!!

ok, I've never done it before so bear with me.
Do you have to open/top-up/close the brake fluid reservoir every few pumps?

You don't have to close the reservoir while pumping. just make sure it stay filled with fluid. Do a few pumps and top it off.

On the last pump be ready to tighten the bleeder and tighten in mid stream of the pump.
