what's a cat-back system?

have you seen the teaser for the upcoming kit from magnaflow?

hmmm....they seem to have their specs a bit criss-crossed

so it's basically just a complete replacement of the entire exhaust system from the catalytic converter on back....

Yup, although I'm not sure if the all include the actual cat or not. I've never bought a cat-back system from a company, always have had the exhuast replaced by a shop, from the engine back. My guess, is that it dosen't. Someone else will know, I'm sure.

they usually come from the cat back (not including the cat), and charge more for you to buy a "high flow" cat. it's pointless to get one though, we've got the highest flowing cat in GM's lineup. all a high flow cat is is an oversized cat for a bigger motor, and we've got one stock. same with our air filter. they use them for the envoys, trailblazers, etc.
