i hate this snowy weather. i was making a right hand turn going around too fast and slid to the other side of the street and hit the curb. it snaped something and now the wheels at a 45 degree angle. i had to get it towed and ill have pictures of it and an update about to tommrow when i find out whats really wrong with it...

i miss my car already and its only been a day..

Sounds like a busted strut + whatever it took with it. Some girl near me had an accident that did the same thing to her car (she hit a curb too), it was pretty gnarly.

this is why you dont drive fast in the snow.

my buddy did this with his rx7 when we were snow drifting and can you say P.I.T.A to find parts for and he only had it out in the snow 5 minutes. and he was two and a half hours away from his parts car.

And that's why I have a winter beater. No sense in taking a chance with the RL during winter driving.

EXACTLY. The number one reason for 99 percent of accidents in the snow.

I have the stock dunlops and it snowed huge here in NW Indiana this weekend. Car went through it just fine once the streets were plowed. I have read all the horror stories about the DUnlop tires, and they dont seem to hold true, and I dont have much tread left on mine either.

Sorry to hear about the damage, hopefully its not to bad.

The bold words are the key. Any tire will work just fine "once the streets are plowed". I can't wait for the streets to be plowed to get to work, hence, I have snow tires.

The same thing happened to me 2 winters ago. Ended up bending the control arm and wrecking the tire. I had to have it towed all the way across town, back to the Saturn dealership.
