Ok, so I went to work today for a little bit, and I popped these out on the CNC. Billet 6061 Aluminim, 1/4" thick total, 1/8th on the small part and again on the flange. Should glue right in with some epoxy or could be welded at the risk of warping the housing. This will give the strength needed to use JB weld or Quick Steel or somthing, RM-200 is another option. Those type of metallic epoxies are not really designed to plug off the hole completely, but to just hold this in, they should be perfect. Also, if these plugs were to come out, they are solid and won't go anywhere but into the manifold. Could still damage the blower, but thats the risk you take with any method.

What do you consider reasonable?

I need to evaluate what they will cost me to make in a large number, and I would gladly sell them to people on here.

Lemme know what you think a fair price is, I'd have to buy the material and probably split whatever is left after shipping with my boss for using his CNC center and having him draw it up in the CAD program for me.

not knowing how much the cost of the metal and such, my starting offer would be $20 plus shipping.

Cool, thats what I was hoping for, at most $25 including shipping, but I haven't totaled everything up yet, will do monday and see if its workable. I'm not gonna do it to lose money

i really want to hear the car with them plugged off and for 25 bucks thats a decent deal almost wonder if you could do a thinner two plate system that bolts together to close the holes instead of a glued in one piece?

it has never been the problem with the high performance car,,its always been the issue of placing that car into the hands of a low performance driver

Nope, you would have to have something on the inside of the housing, and the rotors run right there. It has to be from the outside only, you can't use a bolt-in approach from what I see. The only possible way is to drill and tap the housing for some small screws and bolt the plates in, to me that involves much more risk than epoxying them in place, you add small hardware, drilling into the case, not to mention possible case flex when you tighten them...

Anything is possible, but in this case it would be a real pain to do.

ok,,i have not really looked that close at any pics of the blower. but your approach would be alot stronger it would seem compared to just closing the holes with glue by itself. the problem with just glue by itself is im not sure anyone has taken into consideration the blower temps on hot then a fairly rapid cooling and how the glue would react to those conditions
