downgrade or upgrade?

Ok so I've had this 06 RL for 2 maybe 3 months now and been having problems with it ever sense I've bought the thing, I only know of one mod to the car but for the rest I don't know... The guy before me was a newb I believe because I'm sure he didn't poperly upgrade the car, I'm not poor but I'm good enough to know when a car is running funny and when its time for a change. There is a 2.7" pulley on the car for sure, for the rest of the mods (supporting mods) I don't think they exist so I have 2 choices, upgrade the car so it can handle the pulley or downgrade the car a bit so it runs normal again. The car idles at 850-900rpms (not sure if thats normal for this car) and other stuff is going on with it, my question is what is easier or better thing to do, upgrade or downgrade. If upgrade what supporting mods should I get? With lots of reading it seems injectors would support the pulley, a H/E since the charger will be running hotter, I thought about CAI but from enough reading the stock intake is just about the same as a CAI when it comes to numbers... Any opinions?

(not the richest guy btw)

Hope it has 60lbers for that 2.7. I would get a tune to help adjust the a/f and knock and fuel, etc. Plugs can cause stuff to happen to. Just get a k&n drop-in filter and put it on the stock intake. I wouldnt downgrade tho, just tweak a few things.

Supporting mods for 2.7 are 60lb injectors a tune , heat exchanger and exhaust mods . you can lower the pulley to a 2.9 and run with 42lbers but there not really a world of difference in the two it all depends on the tuner.

when buying a exhaust setup what is someone looking for, why the different sizes, and how do I know if what I'm buying will fit my car? I'm also considering a dual exhaust setup but heard no one really doing one for this car, reason being is that I have this hook up that will do the entire dual exhaust setup for $500. I'm about to move the rest of my questions to the proper forum now that I know what to do with the car.

Alot do 2.5" or 3" exhaust since were S/Ced. I have 3" and it deff helped the car breathe. I did a custom 3" so i took it to a exhaust shop and i had them make me one, unless u wanna spend $500-$600 for a magnaflow or something.

I'm guessing you paid less getting a custom setup as well?

Anything about dual exhaust before I commit to this?

actually I can probably search for this answer.
