Hahaha.....my car got called a "rice-burner" the other day.

At my work, this guy comes up to me and here's how the conversation went:

"What's up with your ION?"

"What about it?"

"I've never seen anyone fix up a Saturn before."

"Yeah, there are not very many of us out there."

"It's a little rice-burner. That exhaust is LOUD."

"It's an ION Redline. It came supercharged from the factory. I have done a few things to it performance wise as well so the exhaust is not just talking shit. The car can back up all that noise."

"Well, I'll stick with Supercharged, American V8's."

"You DO know that Saturn is a division of GM and made in the US, right?"

"Oh yeah."

I talked to the guy later on that day and asked him about his Cobra or Lightning (because he said American supercharged V8 so I assumed) and it turns out he doesn't even have one.

He says he has an 89 mustang that puts about 400 to the rear wheels. I told him that my little "rice-burner" saturn has the potential to be as fast or faster than his stang. Of course, he didn't belive me.

LOL!!! Yeah, he doesn't drive the car to work. I've never seen it, anyhow. I should ask him to bring it up one day so I can check it out.

Also, claimed horsepower by guys is just like claimed number of women. With women you need to subtract at least seven and with horsepower you can subtract about 50.

I've beaten a guy in my neighborhood who drives a late 80's hatchback stang. Don't know what all he has but he's got three pillar gauges in it.

I beat him buy about 2 lengths and he wouldn't even look over at me at the next light. Now, everytime I pass his house and he's outside, I rev my engine at him.

A lot of em have reason to be threatened when their grip on stoplight supremacy is fading faster than my hair.
