code thrown and not sure but i think its the maf

i just got done doing my custom style CAI and i hooked a wire up to my A/F gauge at the same time. i drove ~100 miles and a light came on. i shrugged it b/c of no noticable problems and assumed it was the maf b/c of the intake. i reset the battery and then i drove another ~70 miles or so and the light came on again. i have not yet been able to get the certain code # but i think it is the maf. has anyone else had any mysterious codes thrown lately. also it wouldnt throw a code b/c of me hooking a single wire up to my A/F gauge would it? one more thing could it throw a code for that new tsb for the gearing?

I checked the edmunds site and it said there were no tsbs for the rl.... none.
