2006 COMPETITION PACKAGE #'s 14.4@100MPH???

Just read the August Car&Driver and they had the Cobalt SS with the Performance Package and these were the numbers...

0-60=5.9
0-100=14.4
0-130=29.8
5-60=6.2
1/4=14.4@100MPH
Top Speed=145
Brakeing,70-0=160 feet
Skidpad=.88g

So it Looks Like All the numbers are a Little Better than the Non Performance Package Cobalt SS...

If this carries over to the ION REDLINE than it will be a nice increase in performance on the COMPETITION PACKAGE REDLINE that i am going to get when the 2006's come out!!!

I love my 2004 ION REDLINE but really want the COMPETITION PACKAGE as soon as i can get it...

I heard that they rarely test the 0-60 and 1/4 times they just hook the car up to a couple computers and figure that stuff out, i heard it was in a car and driver article I'll look it up and try to find it.

The only thing that seems wrong is the 100mph trap speed. They must have something better in the engine. THe LSD won't make the trap speed higher.

THey don't test on a real track they hook up some fancy computer it's just like a really big Gtech to do all the tests.
