does anyone know if you can connect a amp to the stock radio because id rather keep the six disk in there than put a single (i dont even know if they have a conversion kit for a single aftermarket disk)

are you talking about an amp for a subwoofer? You sure can....a number of people have done it on here, including myself. Do a search for some of the threads. Theres a few people on here who would be happy to help you out. It's a pretty easy install.

Yes, you can. But you will have to get a low-level line converter to convert it into a RCA output (that is if your amp requires a RCA input). Not sure of the correct name for it but go to an audio shop and tell them what you are doing and they should be able to help you. Thats what I did. If you have the advance audio there is an amp mounted under the rear deck so all the wires are there for you to tap into (speakers & remote). Then of course the battery in the back makes the power easily to get to.
check this post out
My subwoofer box
you can see in the 2nd pic a little green box, that is my converter.

I got a kicker amp that you plug the factory speaker wires directly into. I removed the factory amp and mounted mine there. No need for a convertor that way. Made everything easy

I have the wiring diagram for the amp-speaker harness and the radio-amp part. Its at home and I wont be there for several days. so here is the link
http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53963
and once again at your own risk use this info.
I now have a huge alpine v12 hangin from custom mounts and two sets of Alpine type R components with the stock head unit, hopefully I will figure out the XM thing soon.
