Torque brace bracket broken !

Hey goofy, I installed your torque brace and took the car to the Saturday night drags. As the night wore on I noticed i kept getting more and more wheel hop. Sunday morning I popped the hood and took a look and this is what I found ! The brace was installed Just like two other guys (don't remember their names) who posted pictures of there rev. 3 braces. One was a red brace and the other was a blue one. I didn't launch above 2500 rpm so i'm wondering if it might not be better to make this setup outta steel angle. I'm not positive yet but I think my other bracket is slightly bent to, but I gotta take another look.

I can't tell by the photo, but that looks like what is probably a piece of .090 T6 aluminum angle with no radius in the angle. (That's a wild guess, but probably a close one) If you are going to use that stuff, I recommend you try finding at least .125, but more likely .250 T6 with a radius in the corner of the angle. The radius is going to add strength, and you are less likely to break there....Also, the edge distance of the holes are way too close for that thick ness of bracket.....one of the reasons that I will be machining mine out of Billet aluminum. I also just want mine to look cleaner. Yes....I'm a structural engineer for aircraft.

That takes some work man. I have put a bunch of rubber down and mine showing no wear at all!

Man Im impressed I thought for sure no problems but low and behold someone always shows me up. So switch to steel damn I hate steel but it looks like thats what I will have to do. As for a 2500 drop I cant belive that. Perhaps the track made it stonger but I have had Yrethguad and with Navymitch behind me I dropped mine at around 4k to get them smokin.

But regardless BRAVO. and how were your times?

O well off to work. Ill see how much you guys pull me apart this time around. Be nice is all I ask.

On monday when Im making replacement/new ones I will be back to using steel.
