COMPETITION PACKAGE REDLINE---5 CAR SHOOTOUT in CAR and DRIVER!!!

This was on Car & Driver TV on Spike, today. They were definately biased. They treated it like it was the second sister to the CSS (like it was the '80's Mercury Capri compared to the Ford Mustang-WTF?! We came 1st!!!), & therefore hardly worth mentioning at first. They made a comment about trying to like Saturn for years (biased, much?). They thought the appearance was boring & that the Cobalt looked better (opinion, yes, but not mine). I agree that the dash sucks & the exterior leaves a little to be desired but if it's a contest of looks, it's between the IRL, the WRX, & the RSX-S. The SRT & CSS are pretty ugly, to me. I don't know how the RSX-S won. I don't even recall them really saying what was special about it. It does seem that the comparison started out as "sport compact" & ended up "luxury compact". Seemed like too much opinion & too little facts. They kept complaining about turbo lag but put the two SC cars at the end. Fuckin' bastards.

They are going to re-run the show tommoro sunday 31st july at 12:00pm...

I turned it on today at 12:09 and missed the ION REDLINE part and saw the rest of the show...

I am going to tape it tommoro and even if they talk it down the footage of it on the road is cool...

I still am going to buy one as soon as possible and have a GREAT car that alot of people will miss out on because of all the negitive press from showes like this...

I'm still happy it got press, when's the last time you saw an SC2 in a magazine shoot out? A year ago the Civic Si would have been in there instead of the Redline, and the Sentra SE-R would be in place of the Cobalt... They took the top 5 power/$$$ sport-'compacts' and we bumped two off last years list. I'll take it for now. There's a reason I stopped buying the mags on a regular basis.
