A little disappointed with the number but as posted in another thread, I didn't tell the Dyno guy where the redline was so he stopped at 6500 with the stage2 oem tune. There was a few of us that showed up that day with the same problem, live and learn. Next time we'll tell him for sure.

Actually, looking at the charts on the first run, it looks like he stopped around 6300 rpm.

I need to go back and redline that bad boy and see what the numbers are.

what kinda dyno did you dyno on.. i take it you dont have an heat exchanger

stock w/ boost bypass

stage 2 with exhaust intake 2.9 h/e

when rl's don't make power over ~6300 like i showed, it's because USUALLY they are maxing out their injectors top end, and thus the a/f ratio is leaning out resulting in no more power up in the higher rpm range.

like in that chart you shoed me, at the very right side, he starts to go dangerously lean, and the power curve is almost flat

Then why would GM raise the redline from 6500 to 7150?

I can't wait to hear this answer........

they wouldn't! they'd only raise it to 7000. with the stage 2 pulley on i'm sure it makes power to rev limiter because it doesnt go lean like with a smaller pulley

remember, the stage 2 pulley is 3.1", that will not make you run lean. the gm tune makes people run rich, and people put on smaller pulleys and lean the a/f out

even with just stage 2, you can see the power smooths out ~6500. courtesy of CED

That's odd, the graph shows the production hp at around 220.

You may have a point but I will still get the car to the dyno again.

I wonder how others have safely gon past the 260hp mark?
