I'm not saying it's impossible, but those numbers are high

220-230whp is on the borderline of believable numbers.....but 235whp STOCK?!?!?

There's some Stage 2 cars putting that down....so yeah it's a little unrealistic in stock form

Just like RL Clark's Stage 2 numbers:
Dyno Run After Stage II Install
or
Alpha's 400+ whp run
or
ecojoey's '04 Stage 2 RL that put down 270whp & 250tq......that just doesn't happen

Of course you're gonna want to hear it's putting down high numbers though & they're showing/telling you what you wanna hear (all in the dyno setup)

Had my car 3 days and went to a dyno, lol. Don't have a scanner, so the pics will come later. Stock numbers are pretty well established, no surprises here, but for the sake of contributing to the info...

100% stock 2005 IRL with competition package, 21,236 miles. Mustang Dyno, very reputable shop (Dougs Dyno in Henderson). I have both corrected and uncorrected numbers, so for comparison, the shop is at approx 2100 ft altitude. Conditions were low 60's temp, low humidity (25% give or take a little). Conoco 91 octane premium fuel.

Best 3rd gear pull max hp: 203.5 @ 6169 rpm uncorrected, 216.2 with WCF.
Best 3rd gear oull max tq: 183.8 @ 4550 rpm uncorrected, 194.9 with WCF.

Only made one 4th gear pull just to see if it made a difference.

4th gear pull max hp: 207.3 @ 6155 rpm uncorrected, 220.3 with WCF.
4th gear pull max tq: 181.5 @ 5239 rpm uncorrected, 192.6 with WCF.

The torque curve wasn't quite as billiards table flat in 4th, but close. 'm really amazed at these engines' torque down low; in 3rd it made 175 lb-ft at 2700 rpm, in 4th it made 175 lb-ft at 2800.

AF's were also what we're used to seeing by now. Didn't get an AF reading in4th for some reason, the max run in 3rd showed 12.2-12.6 between 2600 and about 3300, with a dip to 12 or so at 22800-2900. Dropped steadily after 3600, bottoming out at 10.6 between 5700 and 5800 rpm.

Noting the way the dyno is set up, some of our "underrated" results are accounted for by the fact that the default weight (supposedly accounting for an average driver and a full tank, etc) is 3250 lbs. At a more realistic 3100 or so (in my no sunroof or other extra's havin' car and my skinny 155 lb ass), results would have been ~6 hp lower if I interperate results correctly.

There we have it, at least for my car. I'll get the charts scanned ASAP, and make more pulls as I add mods (what few I have planned).

I'm one of the pissed off stage 2 guys. I just got mine dynoed two days ago down here at school and I only pulled 222hp and 200 torque. I am going to try it again soon to see if everything was correctly entered in the computer.

What kind of dyno??

Seems like you've got A LOT of nice mods there.....those are some pretty low numbers though

HP Tuners can help or hurt. Did you use the stage II flash as a base point or not? What have you chnged? That's the most obvious possibility right there. Stage 2 w/ the bolt-ons you list and HPT should be good for 240 - 250 whp with a really good tune. You don't list if the Magnaflow is headers or just exhaust - headers can make a big difference, especially with Stage 2 or other increased boost/flow mods!

I haven't tuned with my hp tuners yet, I'm still getting familiar with the software. Right now I'm using the GM reflash and from the dyno it says its running at a 11:1 air fuel ratio. I'm really not too upset about the numbers since I have plenty of mods and more room to gain soon as I get them on and it's not too bad of horsepower for a 14 flat quarter mile lol

Actually, for a 14 flat, I'd say your making more than that. Maybe the dyno was reading off, lol. I put 207 to the wheels uncorrected with mid to low 10's for AFR showroom stock; of course, I have no idea what she'll do in teh 1/4 'cuz I broke an axle on my very first pass, LMAO.

haha very nice, If you can break an axle on one pass either its a defective axle or your car has too much torque, Im thinking the 2nd one ;-)
