Redline Dyno Charts (Charts Only)

Howdy folks,

I went and got the RL Dyno'd today to establish real world baseline power and torque measurements which I will use to evaluate performance upgrades as I add them.

I left them all in their original sizes, and will post links only, as they are quite large. There is a lot of small detail that I thought a small picture would be no good for.

Ended up doing 5 runs. The first two didn't go so well as the dyno was spitting out some numbers that were WAY off... Once we got everything squared away, things started looking a little better.

The first "measured" run was in 3rd gear, second run in 4th gear, and third run in 3rd gear.

Don't know what was up with the first couple of runs, she was only putting out 202.87 HP and 203.35 HP respectively. The third time was a charm, and she hit 210.44 HP / 182.73 lb ft. I guess the moon and the stars aligned for that run.

On the "All Runs" charts, the first run is green, second is red, and third is blue.

I've heard some folks say that the RL makes power all the way to the redline. You can clearly see that here. The power curve is damn near linear, and never stops going up til it hits the rev limiter at 6500 RPM.

Very flat torque curve as well for the most part, although there is a more defined "peak" in the curve. Beyond 3000 RPM, it never drops below 170 lb ft. all the way to the rev limiter.

Something else folks talk about is the A/F being pretty rich. That can also be seen on the HP + AF chart. After 4200 RPM, the A/F ratio drops below 10:1 (off the charts rich) and never comes back up.

My conclusion... These things have so much potential power in them it's really unbelievable... We have a wild snarling engine that's just begging to be unleashed!

Runfile 7,8, and 9 were done before the pully install. Runfiles 10,11, and 12 were done after the pully install, and runfile 12 was done after the bypass mod. You can see a MAJOR difference after 5700 RPM in hp and tq. When I dyno'd at first I thought the computer was pulling timing because of the difference, but it wasn't, it was just adjusting. The ONLY difference in runfile 12 is the boost bypass mod being done, and you can see the effect. BTW, don't pay much attention to the corrected sheets, because as we already figured out the sensors weren't reading right to come up with the right correction factor. That's fixed now and I will soon redyno with the same mods before the stage kits to see what power I am making now that the computer has adjusted.

4th gear run, just a baseline before I start doing any mods. Engine was a little hot, had to run and get my friend back to work quickly, so we couldn't stay long. Did 2 pulls, but on the second, the computer rebooted, so it didn't finish logging. Will probably log at least one pull in 3rd next time, to see if there's any difference.
