ROAD&TRACK-COBALT SS WINS OVER ACURA RSX-s

Just read the september ROAD&TRACK and the COBALT SS WINS OVER ACURA RSX-s!!!

IT WAS CLOSE but it did win with 587.4 to a 587.1 total points!!!!!

They also said alot of GOOD things about the car not like CAR and DRIVER who thrashed both the COBALT SS and the ION REDLINE to death in there shootout and gave the win to the ACURA RSX-s...

GOOD read and im sure they whould be more into the ION REDLINE if they tested it aganst the RSX-s then CAR and DRIVER did because they don't already have the mindset of (WE TRYED TO LIKE SATURNS FOR YEARS) before they test them!!!

I never really liked Saturns before my Redline. I have to say, however, that the offerings from Saturn are a little more tempting nowadays - you've got Redline versions of the Ion and Vue, as well as the upcoming Sky roadster and Aura sedan. Saturn has always been the bastard child of GM though, but that topic has been beaten to death here.

I'm going to R&T.com right now to check it out - may pick up both mags tonight when I go to get groceries for the fam.

What's funny about the idiots at Car and Driver, when they drove the Red Line back in October or November of 2003 they claimed, "If GM manages to keep the prices at under $20,000 dealers won't be able to keep them on the showroom floors". I guess since the Red Lines aren't selling as much as Car and Driver claimed they would initially, Car and Driver is trying to save face by rating the Red Lines low. Kinda sad that shoty journalism is still practiced. Maybe we should all take some time to write a letter to Car and Driver and let them know how transparent they are?

Personally I like it when we get the bad rap. If everyone knew about our cars it would be like owning a mustang. I pass 30 of those things every day on my way to work and every one of them thinks he has the supreme race car. Boy do I love handing there a$$ to them.

By now if someone hasn't heard of the Red Line, they have been living under a rock or a diehard mullet head. Very few people don't know about them, they may not recognize them but they know they exist.

I actually did read that article your talking about. They really did bash the heck out of the cobalt/RL in the acura description section, and had a couple of actual good things to report about the car in the cobalt section. But either way, it shouldn't have been that close, but as long as the cobalt came out on top i'm happy.
