Exclamation RL problems!!!!!!!

i have been having many problems with the brakes on the RL...the rotors are getting eatin up and i already got them replaced once and the brake pads replaced....there are still problems with them. also the clutch pedal and the seatbelts have been squeaking...i oiled the firewall where the clutch pedal meets but that isn't working. Please someone tell me if you are having any of the same problems with your RL!!!!!

I have been eating up rotors also but I road race. My wifes car seems ok, and she drives it pretty hard. I would ask the dealer to look at it.

hocky do you race around and slam on the brakes all the time? if so cut it out for awhile and see how they last. it seems like you are just beating the holy living shit outta this car more than others.

I already went to the dealer and they said that i was my driving but i dont brake hard at all and my tires are perfect...so they replaced them and within a month they are messed up again. I think it's the brake pads or the calipers.

it could be that the calipers are at the point to where they are riding alot on the roters but you would notice it and here it after a little while so i dont think that is the case. the only thing that i can think of is ..... well do you live in or have to drive around the moutians alot?

nope...i live in Florida there are no hills where i live....i was thinking that the calipers are applying too much force to one side or aren't lined up correctly with the rotors.

you would be hearing the griding as you were driving. umm the only thing i can think of is your braking holding the brake for long distances (riding brake) drivng fast then riding the brake, just driving fast for periods of time will cause the rotor to warp.

brakes get used at high speeds for too long or just plain ol to long and caused to get really hot which causes the rotors to get really hot (same as doing 100+ for long time) and causes the rotors to warp, excess warpage causes spider cracks which inturn causes parts of rotor to fall off litereally.
