Saturn Advanced Audio System?

So, anybody fooled around with the 160 watt amp? I'd like to put a bazooka tube in, and with the amp in the trunk it seems like a match made in heaven. Anybody done it? Any advice?

you can not use that amp to power the bazzoka tube. you can take signal from it to power another amp to run the tube. get a amplified bazzoka tube and use the high level inputs on it and tie them into the rear speaker leads at the amp ot the speakers the bazzoka tube will convert it for you to rca (low level) and viola your done super easy to because our battery is in the trunk for power and ground!!!

Yeah, sorry should have been more clear...I figured I would need a self powered tube...but as I suspected it is super easy due the location of all the components...thanks alot for helping me sort through it.

Adding a amp

I was actually able to add another amp and a 10 to the Adv audio system. I spliced in to the wires coming in to the stock amp and ran the audio wires to a rca converter. Sounds greats and it hits.

How do you add pics to a reply? I'll post a couple.

I just removed my old amp and installed a newer Kicker amp in its place. I used all the stock wires including the remote wire. The amp I used has built in convertors, so I just plugged the speaker wires into the amp and it converts them into RCA imputs on its own. Easiest amp install I have ever done. I did have to run new speaker wire up to the front speakers, but everything else was right in the back. Took all of ten seconds to wire the amp power from the battery. Great amp for the car. 650.4 with componet speakers in the front and new woofers in the rear deck. All Kickers all around. Now all I need is a 10" self powered tube to round out the bass. Have to keep the weight down for 1/4 times, so now big subs for me this time.
