I can only speak for the stock tires. They SUCK in the snow, you cant go anywhere. I have read on here there have been others that put winter tires on their RL with much better snow driving results.

I put snow tires on last winter and the car handled great. I only got stuck once because my rear brakes froze up. Stay away from using the parking brake in the winter.

definitly get snow tires and get the stock rims off of them before the snow and salt. my rims were pitting out really bad by the end of the winter. but i did get a brand new set of rims in the spring because it was so bad. the only bad thing was it took the dealership almost a month to get the ok from the regional rep!

You should be able to find something that fits. Some 17" steel rim meant for truck or SUVs? Something like that.

stock tires are OK in snow until you try to go up hills that haven't been plowed. couldn't get out of my parking lot once last year...

any local tire shop should fit you up with some cheap rims and some nice snows, won't be cheap though (if you get decent snows) because they can't fit you up with anything less than z rated
