I'm diggin those wheels. I would love to have those with a dark grey or gunmetal paint job. But that kind of originality is not worth the money yet as it can be spent elsewhere.

Thanks! She actually let me drive it last night - great little car with a really nice feel. I'm impressed by the quality of the close ratio shifter - it feels and shifts much nicer than my WRX. Also, the torque curve is surprisingly flat with no apparent lag. I'm impressed.

We traded an 03 ION 1 - sort of a "Sally Rand" (for you kids out there, Sally Rand was a famous stripper of years past) model we had named Sally. So the new RL has taken the name "Super Sally" :-)

Sweeeeeeet!!!!

I love the rims on the black.

Now you just need to lower that puppy and it would look perfect.

That's good to know! Probably she won't want to lower it because she will be driving it all year and here in Colorado we get some pretty deep snow in the winter and need the clearance.

It's definitely a surprisingly nice little package all around. I'm sure that within a year or so tuners will embrace it, especially after the bowtie boys get the Cobalt off the ground with the same engine. With all the possibilities I can see a future of 300-350hp for this while still remaining streetable.

I'm thinking about swapping our 04 Volvo V70R (which is a fantastic machine) and my WRX for a new STi then letting Vishnu out in Calilfornia have a go at it for abou 400 wheel hp.

It never ceases to amaze me how these little small displacement engines can put out so much reliable hp. I've been tuning Mustangs for years and even though I've gotten streetable 500 + hp out of 5 liter 302's the problems have always been getting the power reliably to the ground. The fw and 4x4 drives seem to do it with much better efficiency and that EcoTech engine design is something out of the future...
