Terrible MPG

I've averaged a terrible 9 MPG in the city. I've been driving normal, no WOT or goosing it or anything. Just normal driving, shifting at 3K, and running the air conditioner. What's going on?

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is warranted with 9mpg.

I thought my mpg was shitty.....I get about 20mpg on average which sucks when gas is $2.80 a gallon.....cost me $5 just to get to work and back

I actually was out looking at new cars today for something with better gas milage.....I want a Saab 9.3 but there were no more 2005s left

Even in Texas with the heat and humidity, you should average no less than 18 mpg. You need to check for a leak, or better yet, take it to the dealer and have him check it. You may also want to check one other thing......someone may be stealing gas from your ride. Gas prices are high, and I know when I lived in San Antonio, it happened three times to me before I caught on to what was happening. My landlord caught them one night, and shot my VW Scirrocco trying to shoot the little thieves.

If you are only getting 100 miles from full to empty, take your car to the dealer right away you may have a problem there, under no circumstances should a full take take you only 100 miles.
